The Wisconsin Coalition of Independent Living Centers (WCILC) is the not for profit statewide association of the eight ILCs in Wisconsin.

WCILC facilitates and promotes the collective work of the Wisconsin ILCs through a unified statewide voice. This collaborative effort strives to enhance the opportunities for people with disabilities to live independently and be active participants in their community.

WCILC :

• Advocates for positive disability policy and systems changes
• Provides information on current state and national issues affecting people
  with disabilities
• Facilitates technical assistance and serves as a resource to the ILCs
• Coordinates an IL Peer Review Process statewide and nationally
• Coordinates meetings with state and national legislators
• Facilitates disability awareness and independent living trainings

The ILCW represents the public in planning for independent living services for people with disabilities in Wisconsin. Our vision is to achieve:

Full inclusion of people
with disabilities in society

The ILCW promotes self determination and full inclusion of people with disabilities in Wisconsin.

We provide and support independent living philosophy and services to maximize the leadership, empowerment, and productivity of individuals with disabilities in order that each will live and participate in their community of choice.

We do this by:

• Developing, jointly with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, the
  State Plan for Independent Living
• Reviewing, monitoring, and evaluating the implementation of the State Plan for Independent Living
• Collaborating with the Wisconsin Rehabilitation Council and other disability councils under federal law
